The end of the school year marks the beginning of summer vacation, and for PES the start of our summer internship program! This year we have added six new and not so new faces in our various departments. Here’s our intern team:
Mason Moorhead: Mason joins the PES summer intern group for the second time and will be helping in our Mechanical Lab. Mason is one of two seniors in our intern group. He will be entering his final year at Grove City College in the Fall studying Mechanical Engineering.
Jonathan Vilsack: John is the other half of our senior members of interns. This will be his second summer with PES, and will be assisting in the Mechanical Lab. He is a Mechanical Engineering student at Penn State Behrend.
Leah Moorhead: Leah is no stranger to PES, as this will be her second summer as an intern. In addition, Leah worked full-time for a little over a year working stints in the mechanical lab and customer service/sales department. Leah is currently a junior at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg studying Early Childhood & Special Education.
Garrett Moorhead: This will be Garrett’s third year as an intern at PES, primarily working in our Metallography Lab. He is a junior, Materials Science & Engineering major at Case Western Reserve University.
Owen Myer: Owen will be assisting in our Mechanical Lab in various capacities throughout his first summer interning at PES. He is entering his junior year this Fall at Case Western Reserve University, majoring in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering.
Krista Driggers: Krista is our lone sophomore joining the intern group this summer. This will also be her first summer at PES. Krista will be supporting testing and operational help within our Chemistry Lab. She is currently enrolled at the University of Florida, majoring in Materials Science & Engineering.
PES is very excited for these team additions and providing a learning service to these future engineers and materials scientists.
